"Patuxent is one of the most important families you will find besides your own family. It is truly a very welcoming and well knit community. There is room for anyone at this school to succeed and be happy. The staff is just excellent and the administrators are like friends. There’s close to 1000 students but there’s unity, love, and trust at this school. This year the Student Voice Initiative was launched at this school and its main goal is give voice to every student to make good change in the school. There was an emphasis on good relationships, academics, self awareness, diversity, and unity. It’s truly like a family to be at Patuxent, one of the most welcoming you will ever find :)" - Niche.com
