This charming inn looks like a large home. It is very similar to something you would see in the show Gilmore Girls. Back Creek Inn is a bed and breakfast located in the town of Solomons, on Solomons Island.

The inn sits on the actual Back Creek body of water which is known as one of southern Maryland’s most beautiful and scenic waterways. It meets up with the Patuxent River and the Chesapeake Bay. This is a wonderful charming spot to stop on a boating trip. Boaters can glide right up to the dock at one of their two slips.

The Inn was built in 1880 with beginnings as a waterman’s home and renovated into a bed and breakfast in 1987. There are four private rooms in the original home structure with an add-on that provides two suites and there is a separate cottage as well. The inn is just two blocks from the Solomon’s Island Riverwalk, a fun place to stroll and shop or grab some ice cream.

The Chesapeake Charm Home

This is an amazing vacation home located on St. Jerome’s Creek. This house is right on the water on a 15-acre crop farm. It embodies all of the charms that southern Maryland has to offer. The home sleeps nine people and provides items like crab pots, fishing rods, and kayaks for renters to enjoy the water from the private dock. You can even bring your own boat if you like.

The Rod ‘n Reel Resort

This popular hotel is located on the Calvert Cliffs overlooking the Chesapeake Bay. Cove Point Lighthouse

That’s right you can stay in an actual lighthouse. This is one of the most fun and unique “hotels” in the state. The lighthouse keeper’s house has been refurbished to accommodate up to 16 guests. It is located on one of the narrowest parts of the Chesapeake Bay in Lusby making the views unlike anywhere else. This functioning lighthouse features a private beach for renters and all profit supports the Calvert County Museum.

Rosewood Manor Bed and Breakfast

This large and charming pink mansion is located in Port Tobacco. Port Tobacco is Maryland’s smallest incorporated town. Data from the year 2010 showed that the population was only 13 people. Though the town is tiny there is a ton of history to take in and enjoy. This charming town was reconstructed in 2007 giving a nod to colonial living.

This charming historic-style estate is very close to great activity hotspots including shopping, great dining venues, horseback riding, national parks, and more. The French-style mansion is situated on 3 acres and is said to be built in the 1930s.
